Welcome! We are Cape and Drew, two former student-athletes turned scholars. Join us as we share our truths about our lived experiences (before, during, and after eligibility) and how we continue to transition into a healthy and meaningful life after playing sports!

First Half

Cape and Drew both grew up playing basketball in North Carolina and dreamed of playing on the collegiate level. In 2003 they met, became teammates and were having the time of their lives as their dreams had been realized. Although the road wasn’t easy, they both graduated college without a clear understanding of their vocational calling now that their dreams of a basketball career were over. The transition to life after sports was a challenge, but the two former student-athletes eventually found their passion off the court.

Second Half

Currently, both Cape and Drew work in leadership roles on college campuses where they relentlessly encourage students to be the best version of themselves. They’ve done extensive research on student-athletes and use their own life experiences and findings to help encourage and motivate students to be more than just athletes.

Our Mission

Cape and Drew’s goals are simple: to empower and encourage you to believe that you are in fact more than an athlete and sports are only a part of your identity. Your success in life does not have to be dictated or measured on whether or not you become a professional athlete. It doesn’t define who you are or all that you can be!
