Episode 13: Dylan! Dylan! Dylan! (The Art of Networking and Paying Your Dues)

Cape and Drew look back at one of their favorite TV shows and specific character, Dylan. The two start off by explaining the famous episode. They go onto break down Dylan’s character and compare him to people they have known in the past and to date who have similar traits.  Fast forward, Drew gives an example of a student he works with who didn't want to participate in a certain program just because and told him if he has too he will but if it's not mandatory he won't. The student find out later that the person making the actual presentation was pretty big time and could have really opened a lot of doors for him. Drew gives example of volunteering at his current job and how networking has paid off tremendously for his professional growth. Cape talks about being the first person to graduate out of his cohort because he had no ego and listened to his professors.  The two discuss where they would be in life if they were like Dylan, only did things that were required of them and didn't ever go the extra mile. The two conclude the show by referencing and explaining a quote from that episode: “You can either make this song or not make this song."
